Structural features
Fiber core: can accommodate single-mode or multi-mode optical fiber
Loose tube: The optical fiber is placed in a loose tube, which is usually made of high-modulus plastic and filled with waterproof filling compounds to protect the optical fiber from moisture and environmental damage.
Center reinforcement: generally made of metal materials such as phosphated steel wire, located in the center of the optical cable, it plays a role in enhancing the tensile strength of the optical cable.
Inner sheath: The PE inner sheath is bonded with an aluminum-plastic composite tape, which has good moisture resistance.
Outer sheath: It is a double-sided plastic-coated corrugated steel tape-polyethylene bonded outer sheath, which can provide better pressure resistance, wear resistance and rodent protection.
Performance advantages
Excellent mechanical properties: Adopting “SZ” bidirectional layer twisting technology, the steel (aluminum) tape has reliable lap bonding, high strength, no cracking when torsion, and can effectively prevent damage from rodents.
Good waterproof performance: Water-blocking grease is filled in each process, and the entire cross section is water-blocking, which can ensure the normal use of the optical cable in a humid environment or when it is directly buried underground.
Excellent fiber protection: The loose tube protects the once-coated optical fiber, and the excess length of the optical fiber is stably controlled. After cabling, the additional attenuation of the optical fiber is close to zero, and the dispersion value does not change.
Strong environmental adaptability: The applicable temperature range is – 40℃~+70℃, and it can work normally under a variety of harsh outdoor environmental conditions.
Application scenarios
Long-distance communication and inter-office communication: Due to its good transmission performance and stability, it can be used for optical signal transmission of long-distance trunk lines and connections between different communication bureaus.
Direct burial: Due to its double-layer armor and good moisture-proof and rodent-proof properties, it is particularly suitable for use in places where direct burial is required, such as laying along roads, railways, pipelines, etc.
Overhead and pipeline laying: It can also be used for overhead or pipeline laying, and can adapt to different laying environments and installation methods.
